Problem

SVSU Academic Affairs needed a holiday card to send to faculty and staff at the start of the holiday break. The card needed to feel unique compared to previous years while remaining inclusive of all religions and appropriate for a professional academic setting.

Solution

A collage-style card was designed to balance a sense of fun with a polished, professional tone. A legible typeface was selected to ensure clarity and accessibility. The red and blue color palette referenced both the winter season and SVSU brand colors. All imagery was hand-drawn and original, intentionally avoiding symbols tied to specific religions or holiday traditions. The interior message was designed to support a universal holiday greeting as requested by the client.
